Job Title: Financial Analyst 

FLSA Status:   Full-time, Exempt, Salary


Job Details: 

The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial planning, analysis, annual budgeting and forecasting for client organizations.  The Financial Analyst will work with individuals at all levels of the organization to manage activities related to financial reporting using both GAAP and cash basis accounting methods, including Audit and Tax preparation. The Financial Analyst will gain an understanding of the strategic goals and objectives, as well as, the issues and challenges facing the industry and organizationof the client's they assist. 


  • Financial Analysis, Planning and Projection 
  • Prepares financial reports and forecasts and may present to stakeholders to make prudent financial decisions 
  • Develops Financial Models and ad hoc reports a needed  
  • Reconciles bank statements, forecasts, and other financial reports.  
  • May post adjustments and other journal entries at the end of the fiscal period. 
  • Will assist with budgets according to the respective organization's strategic goals and historical data 
  • Monitors client's A/R and A/P for accurate reporting 
  • Codes data for input to financial systems according to company's procedures  
  • Reports and analyzes actual vs. budget reports to identify and explain variances 
  • Performs ad hoc reporting and analysis to support the operations. 
  • Maintains records of all financial documents with appropriate supporting material; updates records as necessary.  
  • May recommend, design, and implement any necessary department controls and procedures 
  • Coordinates and prepares pertinent information for external accounting firm and auditors, including 990 preparations. 


Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Ability to analyze and interpret Financial Statements 
  • Intermediate Analytical and modeling skills 
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment 
  • Must be detail-oriented and think Strategically 
  • Knowledge of Project Management Processes 
  • Proficient Presentation, Verbal and Written communication skills. 
  • Strong Accounting and Compliance background 
  • Intermediate-level analytical and financial modeling skills 
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability 
  • Willingness to work long hours when necessary 
  • Highly proficient in QuickBooks or similar bookkeeping/ accounting software  
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office suite skills 
  • Ability to use additional company software packages 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent) plus three to five years of related work experience across multiple facets of accounting such as AP, AR, GL, Payroll, etc. or in a financial support role providing research and analysis of accounting data.
